Connect Tackle299 • 3d ago Awe that's the sweetest. At my facility we had a dog and cat boarder for two weeks, the family strongly suggested they stay together. Not impossible but we really don't like keeping two animals in one kennel. Found out that the two NEEDED eachother.

The dog was blind and relies on the cat for comfort and to be their guide. The dog would cry and the cat could hear it in the other area and get super aggressive and basically in a panic attack state. After that we modified a kennel to accommodate them both. All was well in whoville after that Ө 2.2K Reply

He would get "lost" and I'd hear him yowling looking for me, particularly when I'd be on the bottom floor and him on the top. I actually started to respond when I'd hear him, "Inigo! I'm down here!" There'd be a pause and then :::galloping kitty sounds::: as he ran down to meet me. He'd come up, tail up and eyes bright, "Yay! There you are!"

KingAltair2255 • 3d ago My girl does this too Imao, and like yours, only when the other cats aren't on the same floor. Gotta shout to her that i'm here, and all you hear is her little paws speed-walking downstairs.

We suspect she wasn't used to being deaf, and this was her not hearing us and basically going "Is anyone around?" because she'd go quiet straight after she saw someone.

Saintza • 9h ago Oh yeah mine does this too, at 2am in the morning waking the whole house up

lionessrampant25 • 2d ago My void cat does this too! He wanders around my very small house everywhere except the room we're in yowling and looking for us. I think he wants to know we hear him as much as to know where we are.

xpdx 3d ago I like how cats shrug off almost any adversity and just figure out. I've seen cats on reddit with only two legs, blind cats, deaf cats, blind and deaf cats- they all just get on with life- sometimes with help sometimes not. They just figure it out and keep on trucking. We could learn from cats.
